General Motors (GM) recently announced that it will discontinue production of the Chevrolet Camaro after the 2024 model year. According to GM, the decision was made in response to declining demand for sports cars in favor of SUVs and electric vehicles.

"Chevrolet made the decision now as a part of continuously evaluating our portfolio offerings for progress toward our EV future and sales demand."

The Camaro’s discontinuation is part of a larger trend in the automotive industry as automakers shift their focus towards producing more environmentally friendly vehicles.

GM has already made significant investments in electric vehicle technology, including plans to phase out gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

The company is reportedly considering a possible electric version of the Camaro in the future.

Supply Running Out

While the Camaro will no longer be in production after 2024, GM will continue to sell the iconic muscle car until inventory runs out across the country. According to our market data, there are 35 states with more than a 30 days supply and 11 states with less than a 30 days supply of 2023 Camaros.

New Hampshire and Alabama both have 15 days supply or less making 2023 Camaros the rarest in those two states. Click the interactive map below to see the Camaro Days Supply in the other states experiencing shortages.
