The Hyundai Ioniq 5 was recently named Car and Driver’s Electric Vehicle of the Year. Hyundai’s model beat out several big names in the EV market, including the Chevy Bolt, Tesla Model S Plaid, and last year’s winner, the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
Judges based the decision on scores in four categories: Value, Performance, Technology, and “Fun to Drive.”

For the past 30 days, California has been the top seller for the Hyundai Ioniq 5, selling 537 units, as well as the top inventory holder with 360 units. The rest of the top sellers are located in the Northeast section of the US: New Jersey (195 units), Massachusetts (99 units), New York (74 units), and Maryland (59 units).
