In this New Vehicle Weekly Trade Activity report, we take our data set and hone in on the most popular vehicles traded, down to the trim level, over the past week among America’s Top 25 Largest Auto Groups.
Ford units were traded the most, making up 36% of all new vehicle, dealer-to-dealer trades across the country.
This week, the state of Texas moved the most units out of state. While, the state of Illinois brought the most units into their state from other states.

2022 Ford Explorer – XLT
The Ford Explorer, XLT trim level was the most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is now an 80 days supply of Ford Explorers, nationally, and 7,906 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +59% from last month.
14% of these units are in the state of Michigan.
2022 Honda CR-V – EX-L
The Honda CR-V, EX-L trim level was the second most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is now a 25 days supply of Honda CR-Vs, nationally, and 5,057 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +95% from last month.
12% of these units are in the state of California.
2022 RAM Promaster Cargo Van – Base
The RAM Promaster Cargo Van, Base trim level was the third most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is now a 42 days supply of RAM Promaster Cargo Vans, nationally, and 1,014 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +39% from last month.
