In this New Vehicle Weekly Trade Activity report, we take our data set and hone in on the most popular vehicles traded, down to the trim level, over the past week among America’s Top 25 Largest Auto Groups.
This week, the state of California shipped the most units out of state, while Georgia had the most units coming in from other states.
Chevy units were traded the most, making up 16% of all new vehicle, dealer-to-dealer trades across the country.

The Hyundai Elantra, SEL trim level was the most traded unit this week.
We’re showing that there is now a 43 days supply of Hyundai Elantra, nationally, and 6,644 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +2% from last month.
10.4% of these units are in the state of Texas.
2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – RST
The Chevy Silverado 1500, RST trim level had the second most units traded between new car dealerships over the past week.
We’re showing that there is now a 44 days supply of Chevy Silverado 1500, nationally, and 3,438 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +57% from last month.
11.1% of these units are in the state of California.
2022 Hyundai Santa Fe – SEL
The Hyundai Santa Fe, SEL trim level rounds out our list of most traded units this week.
We’re showing that there is now a 45 days supply of Hyundai Santa Fe, nationally, and 6,534 units on the ground at this trim level. This is up +20% from last month.
