In this New Vehicle Weekly Trade Activity report, we take our data set and hone in on the most popular vehicles traded, down to the trim level, over the past week among America’s Top 25 Largest Auto Groups.
Toyota units were traded the most, making up 26.9% of the largest auto group’s new vehicle, dealer-to-dealer trades across the country.
This week, the state of North Carolina traded the most units out of state, while the state of Texas brought the most units into their state from other states.

2022 Ford Explorer – Limited
The Ford Explorer, Limited trim level was the most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is a 60 days supply of Ford Explorers, nationally, and 1,145 units at this trim level on the ground, which is up 25% from last month.
16% of these units are in Texas.
2022 Toyota RAV4 – XLE
The Toyota RAV4, XLE trim level was the second most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is a 124 days supply of Toyota RAV4s, nationally, and 7,472 units at this trim level on the ground, which is up 131% from last month.
23% of these units are in Florida.
2022 Hyundai Palisade – Calligraphy
The Hyundai Palisade, Calligraphy trim level was the third most traded unit this week. We’re showing that there is a 50 days supply of Hyundai Palisades, nationally, and 3,456 units at this trim level on the ground, which is down -3% from last month.
6.5% of these units are in North Carolina.
