Our software monitors all new vehicle movement in the United States, including new car trade activity. We took our data set and honed in on the most popular vehicles traded this past week among America’s three largest Auto Groups:

  • AutoNation Inc.
  • Penske Automotive Group Inc.
  • Lithia Motors Inc.

This week Jeep was the most traded make and the list of the top three most traded makes, models, and trim levels are listed below.

Most Traded Make

RAM 1500 – Big Horn / Lone Star

The Ram 1500 was the most traded new vehicle model among the top three auto groups this past week. The most traded trim level on this unit was the Big Horn / Lone Star trim level, which is a step up from the entry level trim package and has nine different configurations.

Jeep Grand Cherokee L – Limited

While Jeep was the most traded make this past week, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L came in as the second most traded model on our list. We’ve seen a lot of demand for Grand Cherokee Ls with our buyers as well, so this was not a surprise.

The most traded trim level on this unit was the Limited trim level, which is a mid tier trim level with four different configurations.

Ford F-150 – XLT

Rounding out the list as the third most traded vehicle among the top three auto groups this past week was the Ford F-150 XLT trim level. This is the F-150’s second-tier trim level with 12 different configurations.
